The 812 Superfast’s aero design is part of Ferrari’s ongoing commitment to continually improving performance with each new model, both in terms of speed and augmented vehicle dynamics for a more exhilarating driving experience.

The development guidelines aimed to achieve exceptionally high aerodynamic efficiency figures through boosting of the downforce that influences a car’s stability without increasing drag as the latter would negatively impact fuel consumption and maximum speed.



The aerodynamic coefficient values delivered by the 812 Superfast are a significant improvement on those of the F12berlinetta.

Mobile aero solutions, whether mechanically activated (active mobile aerodynamics) or activated by the pressure of the air itself (passive mobile aerodynamics), guarantee very low drag values.



To the side of the air intakes for engine and brake cooling, is a turning vane on the front bumper which is designed to channel air flows striking the front of car to ensure they hug its flanks, thereby reducing the width of the car’s wake. This in turn appreciably reduces overall drag. A spoiler on tail of the car generates rear downforce.



Three pairs of curved dams were adopted on the underbody and are responsible for 30% of the increase in downforce compared to the F12berlinetta, as already achieved on the special series F12tdf.

The 812 Superfast is the first Ferrari to introduce Electric Power Steering (EPS) which, in line with Ferrari tradition, is used to fully exploit the potential of the car in terms of performance by integrating it with all of the electronic vehicle dynamics controls.



The car also sees the introduction of the Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 system (PCV) which, starting from the experience gained with the F12tdf, combines electric front-wheel steering assistance with the mechanical concept built around tyre dimensions and the rear-wheel steering. All integrated with the vehicle dynamics control systems based on Version 5.0 of the SSC, with the aim of improving the agility and response time to steering wheel inputs of the 812 Superfast.

The integration of the EPS enabled Ferrari’s engineers to introduce functionalities to support the driver's performance experience by means of the primary interface with the road: the steering wheel.



Ferrari Peak Performance (FPP): when cornering, the steering wheel torque will provide the driver with an indication that the car is getting closer to its limit of grip, helping the control of that dynamic state.



Ferrari Power Oversteer (FPO): in case of oversteer, most frequently induced while powering out of corners, the steering wheel torque will give the driver feedback to give steering wheel inputs that are coherent with realigning the car correctly.



The mechanical set-up sees the adoption of tyres developed specifically for Ferrari by Michelin and Pirelli and retain the same sizes front and rear (275/315) introduced on the F12tdf to optimize the Passo Corto Virtuale concept.



The Brembo Extreme Design brakes, which previously equipped the LaFerrari, are the most efficient ever developed by Ferrari. Combined with the Hi-Performance ABS of the 9.1 Premium ESP, the braking performance from 100 km/h is improved by 5.8% compare to the F12berlinetta.

Introducing the SP and the SP2.

They’re closely related to the Fireblade, but these two high-spec motorcycles come with a little more of that Honda racing DNA. With an improved power to weight ratio they’re perfect for the type of rider ­who loves track-days or, if you want to go racing, the SP2 is the bike for you. The circuit is the ideal place for you discover the next level of total control.

The brain

The Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which is located close to the machine’s centre of gravity is the bike’s nerve centre, constantly interpreting roll, yaw and lean angle.



The bike's unit also gathers wheel speed, engine revs, brake and throttle use from the other ECU's and – depending on the suspension mode selected by the rider ­– can calculate the optimal compression and damping force needed at different speeds.

On the brakes

Rear Lift Control (RLC) helps keep the rear end under control when braking hard and late, especially into corners. There’s also New ABS, which controls braking force according to lean angle; the Fireblade is incredibly forgiving.

Core to the Fireblade’s philosophy, this new engine is 2Kg lighter than the previous CBR1000RR and has new pistons – as well as new piston rings – that bump the compression ratio up to 13:1, adding 11bhp. It revs to 13,000 rpm and generates a raw, raspy engine note through the titanium exhaust.

The output characteristics of engine, chassis and – on the SP and SP2 – the suspension are electronically managed and constantly adjusted as you ride. The Fireblade’s modes are known as 'Fast, Fun and Safe' and can be adjusted by flicking a switch on the left handlebar switchgear.

Mode One

It Delivers linear, smooth throttle response, low HSTC and engine braking control while introducing high suspension damping force adjustments.



Mode Two

This controls the power output through the first three gears with medium HSTC, suspension, engine braking and suspension damping force adjustments.



Mode Three

Analyses output through fourth - to top gear. High HSTC input provides better traction and stability along with an increase in engine braking while adjusting to a low suspension damping setting.



User modes

There are two user modes, making five riding modes in total. When selected, the bike’s modes one, two and three can be programmed independently to suite rider’s style, his weight, track layout and conditions. Some settings can even be turned off if you wish.

The rear seats have better legroom than many rivals, but the front seats might not have enough headroom for taller drivers. Visibility is great because of the thin roof pillars.

The Camry Hybrid has two full sets of LATCH connectors for securing child seats. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave this LATCH system a Good+ rating (the highest possible) for its ease of use.

Camry Hybrid Cargo Space

Many hybrids offer less space than their nonhybrid counterparts. Not the 2018 Camry. During the redesign, the battery was moved from the trunk area to the rear seat, so the Camry Hybrid has the same 15.1 cubic feet as the nonhybrid Camry. That’s enough space for a dozen carry-on bags or to take your cornhole boards to a friend’s cookout.

Camry Hybrid Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

Standard features in the Camry Hybrid include dual-zone automatic climate control, a USB port, and the Entune Infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen, Siri Eyes Free, and Bluetooth. Available features include a moonroof, satellite radio, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, a Wi-Fi hot spot, navigation, and an upgraded Entune system with an 8-inch touch screen and the Entune App Suite. 

The Entune infotainment system is intuitive and easy to use. The touch screen is responsive, and there are redundant physical controls for some functions. There are plenty of tech features, but the Camry Hybrid doesn’t offer Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, which can be found in several other cars in the class.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety names the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid an IIHS Top Safety Pick+, the agency’s highest award. The IIHS also gives the Camry Hybrid the highest rating of Good in all five tests. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gives the Camry Hybrid five out of five stars overall and the same score in each individual crash test.

Which Toyota Camry Hybrid Model Is Right for Me?

Because all Camry Hybrids feature the same powertrain and drivetrain, features are all that really set the three trim levels apart. The prices between the trims aren’t that drastic, so if you want all the features, the XLE is a reasonable buy. However, many features are available in lower trims, so you can save some money by sticking with the SE or even the base LE.

Toyota Camry Hybrid LE

The Camry Hybrid LE carries a base price of $27,800. In addition to the standard features, a few option packages are available. The Convenience package ($1,225) adds blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. For $2,125, you can add both the Convenience package and a moonroof. The Audio package ($3,580) includes the Convenience package (and a moonroof) and adds an upgraded Entune infotainment system, navigation, and wireless smartphone charging.

Toyota Camry Hybrid SE

The Camry Hybrid SE has a starting MSRP of $29,500. In addition to the LE’s standard features, the SE comes with leatherette upholstery and some styling upgrades. The Convenience and Audio packages are available in this trim also.

Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE

The Camry Hybrid XLE starts at $32,250. This trim comes with all the features found in lower trims plus leather-trimmed upholstery, an improved driver information display, and a head-up display. For $4,110, you can get the Audio package, which includes a surround-view camera, a moonroof, an upgraded Entune system, wireless smartphone charging, and a JBL audio system.
